As you may know already, last week we announced you that Porsche will indeed introduce a cabriolet version of the Panamera sedan when the second-generation will make its debut on the market, somewhere in 2015. This fact was also confirmed by British magazine Autocar, but thanks to our sources, we were able to find out this fact a little but quicker. The current Panamera model will only see a long-wheelbase version. Moreover, the next-generation will also see a coupe version, a successor to the iconic 928, but also a shooting brake-style wagon.

For those who don’t know, the latest addition in the Panamera family was introduced this week in the form of the Panamera Turbo S. This model is powered by the impressive 4.8-liter V8 biturbo engine capable to deliver 550 hp (410 kW) and 750 Nm of torque. Equipped with the Sport Chrono Package Turbo, the car can deliver 800 Nm with the so-called overboost function in the “Sport” and “Sport Plus” mode. With the Launch Control system on, the Panamera Turbo S can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 306 km/h or 191 mph.
