Porsche is now offering the exclusive 911 Turbo S “Edition 918 Spyder”, a limited edition celebrating the production of the new supercar. Just like the 918 Spyder, the production of the Porsche 911 Turbo S “Edition 918 Spyder” will be limited to no more than 918 units, but do expect to get some extra features for this. According to Porsche, the new special edition is inspired by the 918 Spyder's characteristic individual features. Some of these include acid green features such as the specific and part-embroidered model logos and seams, the instrument cluster needles, the specific PCM screen and illuminated door entry guards. The car will also feature a limited edition badge on the glove compartment lid, which can be the same number as the 918 Spyder the customer has ordered. Moreover, the new 911 Turbo S “Edition 918 Spyder” can also be ordered in the same colour as your upcoming 918 Spyder.
Still, the performances of your 911 Turbo S “Edition 918 Spyder” will be just like any other 911 Turbo S. This means that your car will deliver 530 hp (295 kW) and 700 Newton-metres of torque (516 lb-ft). Using the Launch Control and the Sport Chrono Package Turbo Package, the 911 Turbo S can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds while from standstill to 200 km/h in can sprint in 10.8 seconds while the top speed is limited to 315 km/h or 195 mph. The 918 Spyder can accelerate to 100 km/h or 62 mph in 3.2 seconds… let’s just hope Porsche will improve that time. In the case of the 911 Turbi S special edition, the already comprehensive standard equipment is complemented in particular by an enhanced leather interior, a special instrumentation version and additional carbon elements both inside and out. The Coupé version of the special edition costs 173,241 Euro in Germany and 184,546 Euro as a Cabriolet, which means that Porsche wants no extra cash for this edition, as the pricing is the same seen on the ‘standard’ 911 Turbo S. So, the 911 Turbo S 'Edition 918 Spyder' can be the perfect choice if you already ordered the 918 Spyder and you will get it by 2014.
